November 7th, 2020 - Save The Date!
For the health and safety of our donors, families and community, we have transitioned this year's in-person FARA Energy Ball to a virtual event. We have also moved the date, in hopes that a late Fall timeframe might offer our supporters an opportunity to convene outdoors for small at-home viewing parties. We wish you and your family health, and thank you for your continued friendship and commitment to treatments and a cure for all families living with Friedreich's Ataxia.

Friedreich’s ataxia (FA) is a debilitating, life-shortening, degenerative neuro-muscular disorder. About one in 50,000 people in the United States have Friedreich's ataxia. Most individuals have onset of symptoms of FA between the ages of 5 and 18 years. Adult or late onset FA is less common, <25% of diagnosed individuals, and can occur anytime during adulthood. FARA is supporting research that will improve the quality and length of life for those diagnosed with Friedreich's ataxia and will lead to treatments that eliminate its symptoms.
